Allotment, horticulture and plant nursery

We have modernised all of our allotment area where our service users plant a range of fruit and vegetables to grow. Once they are ready, our service users collect them and wash/ chop them ready to be used in the meals which are prepared by our kitchen.

Service users are supported to plant bulbs or pot them on. Once plants/ shrubs are grown they are put into our plant nursery and on sale for customers to come and buy giving service users a sense of achievement.

Service users spend time weeding the areas and watering the plants too, through doing this our service users are able to learn more about different types of plants/veg and build on their knowledge.
